Privacy
What SAT RISE collects, why it is used, and how to contact us about your information.
Who operates SAT RISE
SAT RISE is operated by 上海掌橙信息技术有限责任公司. For privacy questions and requests, contact aaron75@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email, account identifiers, display name and time zone. Passwords are stored as a password hash, rather than readable text.
- Learning records: answers, question exposure, timing, completed practice and tests, review activity, and the progress and recommendations derived from that evidence.
- Technical and security information: necessary session cookies, requests and connection information, authentication attempts, and email delivery or failure information.
How we use it
We use this information to verify your email, sign you in, recover your account, save your learning records, provide practice and feedback, and protect and troubleshoot the service. Public learning examples are not saved to a student learning record.
Account verification and recovery emails are service messages. We do not automatically subscribe a registered student to marketing email or sell their learning records.
Public website measurement
We count public page views, sample starts and completions, and clicks to registration by day in separate UTC and Shanghai calendar views, a small set of source categories, public topic, and an allowlisted public page category. The two date views describe the same interactions and are not added together. These totals do not contain tracking identifiers, account identifiers, email addresses, answers, full referrers or raw URLs, and are retained for up to 90 days. They are browser-reported interaction counts, not unique visitor counts. We do not add analytics cookies or third-party tracking scripts.
We separately use account creation and actual practice or assessment start times to understand new email registrations and learning return. These account-based totals are not linked to public traffic sources. Legacy accounts that later verify an email are not counted as new email registrations. Temporary connection information may be used to limit abusive requests.
Service providers
We use hosting infrastructure to run the website and Resend to send account verification, recovery and security emails. Resend receives the recipient address and email content needed to deliver those messages, including a verification code when requested. It does not receive your password or learning history from our email integration.
These providers may process information outside your country. Our configured email sending region is Tokyo. See Resend’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
Where an external calculator is enabled in a Math workspace, it connects to the calculator provider. That provider may receive connection information needed to deliver its tool.
Cookies and retention
We use necessary authentication cookies to keep you signed in. A normal login session lasts up to 30 days unless it is revoked sooner. Temporary email verification credentials have shorter lifetimes: codes expire after 10 minutes and the limited credential for completing verification expires after 15 minutes.
Temporary verification records and queued email content are cleared by scheduled cleanup. Our application keeps email delivery metadata for up to 30 days. Hosting and email providers may keep their own operational logs under their policies.
Learning records do not currently expire automatically, because they support progress across sessions. You can contact us to request account closure and deletion. We may need to verify account ownership and explain any information that must be retained for security or applicable obligations.
Your choices and requests
You can update your display name and verify or change your email in Your account. Contact aaron75@gmail.com to ask for access, correction, export or deletion of information, or to raise a privacy concern. Do not send us your password or a verification code.
Students and families
SAT RISE is designed for students preparing for the SAT. If permission from a parent or guardian is required for you to use an online service, obtain that permission before registering. A parent or guardian with questions about a student’s information can contact us; we will verify the relevant authority before sharing account information.
Changes
This page describes the current service. We will update the date and explanation when our data practices change.
